Our Story
Valimports is a small, family owned and operated, “Australian” wine import company exclusive to the Ladbroke Grove label.
Ladbroke is owned by my Aunt Marie and her husband John Cox. The winery has achieved a very strong following on the Australian continent but has no importer into the US. The opportunity for a family member to build something significant in the US is very strong. Consequently, our business is about providing high quality wines to high end retailers devoted to providing their customers with wines that they are unable to find at large stores.
We plan on selling the promise that our wines will not be found in large retail stores. We want to align ourselves with the boutique wine merchants, restaurants, and connoisseurs of fine wine.
All of our wines are locally stored in Carlsbad, California at a state-of-the-art wine storage facility operated by Vintage storage, Inc. The 8,700 square foot facility provides a temperature and humidity controlled environment necessary for the proper storage of fine wines. Vintage Storage (VS) maintains a temperature of 54º – 59º with a humidity setting of 65% to 75% – generally considered to be the optimum storage environment critical to preserving our fine wines and ensuring the delivery of the finest product possible to all purchasers.
